Senior Commercial Loan Officer

Farm Credit of Northwest Florida with offices in Marianna, Monticello, Tallahassee, Milton, and Jay is seeking a Senior Commercial Loan Officer. Responsibilities include developing new business, maintaining and servicing an existing portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics and/or Agriculture and 5 years of commercial or agricultural lending experience. Loan Origination & Servicing Assistant

Functions as a primary internal control over the loan origination and servicing process by performing moderately complex loan accounting and operational functions in a centralized environment. Reviews closed loans to validate adherence to regulations, management policy and related internal controls.  Formulates and completes accounting entries for high risk, nonaccrual and participation assets ensuring adherence to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).  Is expected to have knowledge of GAAP, FCA regulations, compliance issues, and Association credit policy and must be able to independently apply that knowledge to reach sound business decisions. The ideal candidate will have education and/or experience equivalent to an Associate’s degree in accounting, business or finance, five to seven years of related work experience, knowledge of GAAP and loan origination/credit administration practices, proficient in the use of technology with an ability to learn new software programs, willingness and ability to learn and retain information regarding changing regulatory and compliance issues and credit policy, strong analysis skills with the ability to apply learned information and reach sound business decisions, effective written and oral communication skills to facilitate internal control responsibilities while maintaining positive working relationships, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, and ability to interact well in a team environment.  Proficient in English and bilingual in Spanish is a plus. AgVocator Scholarship Program

Farm Credit of Northwest Florida is proud to announce the continuation of its scholarship program for college-bound high school seniors. For the second year in a row, this rural lender is offering six $1,500 AgVocator Scholarships that will be awarded to seniors within its chartered territory, which includes 18 counties in the Florida Panhandle. 

The AgVocator Scholarship was created to motivate exceptional young people to harness their skillsets and build stronger rural communities for the areas in which they live. Preference will be given to students who are pursuing a career in agriculture, forestry, horticulture or a similar field.
