Farm Credit of Northwest Florida Announces Braden Scott as Next Chief Credit Officer

MARIANNA, FL – Farm Credit of Northwest Florida, ACA announces the selection of Braden Scott as its next Chief Credit Officer, effective January 1, 2026.

Braden brings more than 20 years of experience to the role, having started his career with Farm Credit of Northwest Florida as an intern in 2002. Since then, he has held numerous positions, including Credit Analyst, Loan Officer, Credit Administrator, and, most recently, Credit Analysis Manager, before being named Chief Credit Officer Designate in early 2025.

In reflecting on his journey, Braden expressed gratitude:

“I’ve had the privilege of working with some great mentors and teammates over the years. To my mentors: thank you for investing your time and wisdom. Your insights have shaped my approach to leadership and prepared me for this next chapter. To my teammates: our success has always been a team effort, and I’m looking forward to continuing that journey together. With the talent and dedication on our team, I’m confident we’ll continue to achieve great things.”

Braden shares his vision for the future of the credit team:

“My commitment is to make sound business decisions that safeguard and strengthen our cooperative, while ensuring our team is a trusted resource and a collaborative partner for those we serve.”

This leadership transition marks the upcoming retirement of current Chief Credit Officer Chuck Thiele, who will retire after 16 years of dedicated service to Farm Credit of Northwest Florida. Chuck began his career with FCNWFL in 2010 as Director of Credit Administration and became Chief Credit Officer in 2013.

Douglas Walker, Chairman of the Board of Directors, says, “On behalf of the Board, I want to express our deepest gratitude to Chuck Thiele for his years of dedicated service. Chuck’s leadership, integrity, and commitment to our mission have left a lasting impact on Farm Credit of Northwest Florida and the communities we serve. We wish Chuck all the best in his well-deserved retirement.”

Chuck expressed his confidence in the future of the credit team, stating:

“I've enjoyed the past 16 years working with a group of Directors, Managers, and employees who are dedicated to the Farm Credit mission to meet the credit needs of farmers and rural communities. I’m very proud of Braden’s development and preparation to assume my responsibilities. I’m confident that he will provide strong leadership to the Association given his level of experience and knowledge.”

As we celebrate Chuck’s legacy and welcome Braden’s leadership, Farm Credit of Northwest Florida remains committed to serving rural communities with integrity and excellence.
